Where to See Cherry Blossoms in Schöneberg (+ Map)

By: Claire  On: March 3, 2026  Updated: March 2, 2026   Leave a comment

Schöneberg is a beautiful neighborhood in west Berlin with the perfect blend of quiet residential streets, local shops, and nightlife. It also happens to be one of my favorite areas in the city to see cherry blossoms in the spring. Here are the best spots for spying those pink pom poms!

Most everyone I know has a favorite season. Some are autumn enthusiasts who love nothing more than cozying up with a good book while it pours cats and dogs outside, while others are beach babies who want it hot, hot, hot all the time so they can work on their tan.

Me? I eagerly await cherry blossom season each year. It’s a season I fell in love with after moving to Berlin in 2019.

After riding the U-Bahn all over to find the best cherry blossom spots in Berlin, I’m finally ready to start spilling my secrets. Because everyone deserves to see the cherry blossom trees during their short blooming period!

One of my favorite neighborhoods for cherry blossoms is Schöneberg. Most people limit their tour of Schöneberg to Viktoria-Luise-Platz and the Ku’damm, but if you want to see cherry blossoms you need to head into the residential areas…

Have fun! ~Claire

Click the upper right symbol to expand the map. This will open it in Google Maps. I suggest doing this on your smartphone so you can keep the map open to navigate Schöneberg with ease.

  • Aschaffenburger Straße
  • Volkspark Wilmersdorf
  • Nymphenburger Straße
  • Hewaldstraße
  • Ceceliengärten (2 locations; see map above)
  • Sponholzstraße
  • Elßholzstraße
  • Alter-St.-Matthäus-Kirchhof
  • Großgörschenstraße
  • Monumentenstraße

Claire’s Tip: All of the locations mentioned above are late bloomers. Expect them to start blooming the first or second week of April; they only bloom for 7 to 10 days, so see them while you can!

Happy Cherry Blossom Hunting!

I hope this list showed you a few new spots to see cherry blossoms in Schöneberg! If you spot any more cherry blossoms on your walks, PLEASE leave me a comment below. I’m always looking for new trees to photograph!
