If you follow me on Snapchat (@Claire284), then you probably saw that I graduated on Saturday. I know, it’s so crazy right?! I actually graduated early so I could get a jump on the job search and because, quite frankly, I was pretty much done with college.
Don’t get me wrong, I loved every minute of my time at college (yes, even the stressful bits), but I got to the point where I simply couldn’t stand another day of having someone tell me how to format my papers, stressing out about a final grade, and just generally having to do things that I didn’t want to do. I know life won’t always be picture perfect, but I’m ready to take the leap and start leading my own life, you know?
Anywho, here are some crappy cell phone shots from my graduation. Please try and restrain yourselves—I’m all too aware of how great I look in a giant polyester gown.
So, where am I going next? I actually have a few jobs I’ll be juggling here in Indiana until the end of July, give or take. I’ll be writing part-time for the Indianapolis Monthly for their May madness blog, which covers everything Indianapolis 500-related (which I also get to go to this year!!). I’ll also be continuing my work for Spoon University, which I’m so excited about. There really is nothing more therapeutic than writing about food, amirite? And last but not least, I’ll be interning with one of my all-time favorite food blogs, A Couple Cooks.
Needless to say, I am over-the-top excited for this summer. Oh, and did I mention I’ll of course keep blogging? As if I really needed to say that.
So, my question for you is this: would you be interested in seeing some posts on Indiana? I’m sure a lot of people think Indiana is nothing but cornfields and cows, but there are actually some amazing places to visit here. Leave me a comment below on whether those types of posts interest you, or if there are other places you think I should visit this summer. I’m definitely going to be spending some time in Chicago, and I’m trying to swing a trip to Austin, TX to visit some friends.
Without further adieu, I’ll wrap up this little life update. I know this post wasn’t travel related, but I figured graduating from college was kind of a big deal… 😉
Signing off,
Claire
